Much ado about clothing!

I'm working a lot on clothing at the moment! I'm finishing working on an outfit for a pretty doll, Odette, I had made last year. Her owner wanted new clothes for her to celebrate Spring's arrival. We decided on a pair of girly shorts. And as she's a cats lover, I added some 'cat' decorations on the outfit. A big appliqué in liberty fabric in front of her tee-shirt wasn't enough to me, so I added a lovely button in front of her coat, along with my favourite broderies.

The coat is also fully lined with a "cat-patterned" pink fabric! I love how this outfit turned out! The shorts I designed out of a basic pattern. I wanted it to be girly, yet simple. No ruffles or frou-frous, but just some gathering at the waist and thighs to give some shape! When I can, I'd love to publish the patterns I design for my dolls's clothes. I have so many! I know this is one of my near future projects! 

And the coat! I love it too! The outer fabric I chose for the coat is a mix of cotton and linen, and I LOVE THAT! It's so comfy, warm, and ... generous! So are the shorts made in one of the most gorgeous 100% linen fabrics I've ever come to work with.

Do you remember lovely Miss Daisy? She has claimed herself to be the princess of flowers, and has now gone to join her family beyond the Atlantic. She rehearsed all the flowers names before leaving, just in case her new mom shares her tastes for vegetals. What a conscious lady! She took along with her two Titis, a horse and a frog. I hope these three will behave well during the trip!

I'll finish working on a baby I had started, and will start a new custom one, along with a Titi Lamb who's waiting for his turn to be made! It took me some time to figure out the new design I wanted for this little animal. Now that I've thought about it, over and over, I'm ready to start making it!

And after that, .... I'll have some holiday with my family, near the ocean. Ok, I know already I'll throw some yarn and crochets in my luggage, ... just in case!

Beaucoup de bruit pour ... des vêtements!

Je termine actuellement une nouvelle tenue pour une jolie poupée, Odette, que j'ai faite l'année dernière. Sa gentille propriétaire voulait de nouveaux vêtements pour elle pour célébrer l'arrivée du printemps. Nous sommes parties sur l'idée d'un petit short girly. Puisqu'elle est comme elle est amoureuse des chats, j'ai ajouté des décorations de 'chats' sur la tenue. Un grand appliqué en tissu liberty devant le tee-shirt ne me suffisait pas, j'ai donc ajouté un  joli bouton sur l'avant de son manteau, avec mes broderies préférées.

Et le manteau! Je l'aime aussi! Il est également entièrement doublé d'un tissu rose à motifs "chat"! J'aime la façon dont cette tenue s'est révélée! Le short fut pensé à partir d'un modèle de base. Je voulais que ce dernier soit girly, mais reste relativement simple. Pas de volants ou de frou-frous, mais quelques fronces à la taille et aux cuisses pour lui donner un certain gonflant! Quand je le pourrai, je serais ravie de publier les patrons des vêtements que je conçois pour mes poupées. J'en accumule tellement! Je sais que cela est l'un de mes projets dans un avenir proche! 

Vous souvenez-vous de la belle Miss Daisy? Elle s'est autoproclamée "princesse des fleurs"! Elle est maintenant partie rejoindre sa famille au-delà de l'Atlantique. Elle a répété tous les noms de fleurs avant de partir, juste au cas où sa nouvelle maman partage ses goûts pour les végétaux. La voilà bien prévenante! Elle a emmené avec elle deux Titis, un cheval et une grenouille. J'espère que ces trois sauront bien se comporter pendant le voyage!

Je finirai de travailler sur un bébé que j'avais déjà commencé, et en commencerai un nouveau, personnalisé celui-ci, ainsi qu'un Agneau Titi qui attend son tour d'être confectionné! Il m'a fallu un certain temps pour comprendre la nouvelle conception que je voulais pour ce petit animal. Maintenant que je l'ai pensé, à plusieurs reprises, je suis prête à le mettre en forme!

Et après cela, .... je prendrai quelques jours de vacances avec ma famille, près de l'océan. Ok, je sais déjà que je glisserai un peu de laine et mes crochets dans ma valise, ... juste au cas où!
